This resource breaks down each CIW National Minimum Standard into questions to consider when evaluating your practice. This document was created to break down the NMS into chunks and questions to evaluate your setting, operations and practice. If completed, it can highlight areas for improvement based on the standards that CIW use during inspection. When working through each section, answer each point by allocating either red, amber or green. Red means that you do not currently do it, amber means you are working towards it and green means that you do it all the time. Any areas that are red or amber then become your areas for development. When completing each point, think about how you do it and how you could improve it. This should be used as a working document and reviewed regularly. The editable version is available and enables you to keep a running record of when each action was completed to show progression.
